Watch: Why is the VI so Expensive?

Many people are aware of what’s happening in the world, but not everyone fully understands the impact. The world is constantly changing—politically and economically—and these changes affect us all.

This first episode of Yellow Cedar Speaks was created to bring attention to the people of the Virgin Islands. Prices have skyrocketed, making St. Thomas an increasingly expensive place to live. As a result, more people are leaving, while others are hesitant to visit or settle here.

But there’s something special about the Virgin Islands—a bond that not everyone understands. That’s why we want to ask Virgin Islanders: How do you feel about the rising cost of living? And if given the opportunity, would you move to the mainland?
