Tip for Yellow Cedar?
Do you have an important story that needs to be told? Share it with Yellow Cedar. We provide several secure methods for submitting tips and sharing information with our team. While no communication system is entirely risk-free, these tools can help protect your privacy. Be sure to review the terms and instructions of each app before using them. These channels are intended for confidential tips only—please don’t send feedback, press releases, or general story ideas here. For other inquiries, visit our contact page.
What Makes a Good Tip?
A strong news tip should include clear evidence or documentation—speculation or hunches don’t meet the standard. A good tip describes a specific issue or problem with real-world consequences. Be clear, concise, and ensure that your tip is newsworthy. While small personal concerns, like a neighbor’s minor wrongdoing, may be bothersome, they don’t qualify as major news.
Examples of strong tips include:
- Evidence that a government official is acting illegally.
- Proof that a company is behaving unethically.
We regularly review submissions, but not all tips will receive an individual response. Depending on the method you choose, varying levels of security apply, so be sure to understand the pros and cons of each. We will respond using the same platform through which the tip was received.
