With the surging prices of food, education, and even housing, it is becoming even more important to have the people’s voices heard. This is especially important in a community such as the Virgin Islands since most of our resources (food, water, building materials, etc.) are imported. This means that if prices get higher in the States, they rise here.
We need to be helping each other in these uncertain times. Parents shouldn’t have to worry about their children going hungry. Students shouldn’t have to get a second job to be able to afford to go to college. Unfortunately, these situations occur every day and will continue to occur unless we do something about it.
The voices of Virgin Islanders will be heard one way or the other and that’s what we hope to accomplish here at Yellow Cedar. To spread the thoughts, feelings, and opinions of the citizens of the Virgin Islands.
