A visionary journalist, award-winning author, and filmmaker, Peter Bailey has redefined storytelling as the CEO of NiteCap Media and founder of The Unbreakable Film Academy. Known for acclaimed series like Paradise Discovered and NiteCap, he brings powerful narratives to life through his innovate media ventures and was recently honored as a  “VI Living Legend of Culture” alongside being named one of Miami’s most powerful and influential Black business leaders by Legacy Miami. Before that Bailey worked as a staff writer for Newsweek, Time and The Miami Herald before going on to produce for NBC. He later wrote the celebrated memoir Magic City: Trials of a Native Son praised by the New York Times. His recent film The Unbreakable Virgin Islanders and sequel The Unbreakable Virgin Islanders 2.0 based on his now infamous New York Times Op Ed Has “America Forgotten the Virgin Islands”, took home top honors at various film festivals throughout North America and is currently used in classes at leading colleges and universities. As a frequent lecturer Bailey’s focus has been on advocating for the Caribbean’s region’s ownership of its stories. Also a much sought after spoken word performer, Bailey has been featured on songs with Trick Daddy, JT Money and other musicians.
